Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take part in scuba escape?
Our games are split into certified diver and none diver games
We have certified diver games at both our sites in North Wales and at Liverpool Docks with 3 choices - the mini games, full games and PADI Specialty Courses
For none certified diver games, we have 2 of these available at our Liverpool site.
For certified divers the minimum age is 10, and for our none certified diver games the minimum age is 15 years old.
What do you mean by certified diver or none certified diver?
A certified diver is someone who has completed the basic level training to become a certified diver - such as the PADI Open Water Diver course or equivalent. Part of the requirements for these games is that you have logged an Open Water dive within the last 6 months from the date of your game or completed a refresher / ReActivate session with an instructor as part of this.
A none certified diver is someone who has not completed the basic level course to become a diver, you may have no experience at all with scuba or you may of completed try dives at other locations or with us.
What is the difference between a mini game, full game or a PADI Specialty game?
A mini game is a 1 dive game, we have made these games as a taster session for the full game for certified divers or for none divers it is a good intro into the games.
The full game is a 2 dive game, so you will have 2 dives or 2 entries into the water to complete the game. These games are longer and slightly harder to complete which is why you have 2 dives to complete the games.
A PADI Speciality Game course, is for certified divers only who would either like in water support from one of our game hosts or looking to improve on dive skills. You will have some work to complete prior to arriving to your game that will be required to complete the course. We will work with you working on skills such as navigation, buoyancy or what other skills may be used in the game. Once completed, you will get a certification card on your PADI account to show you are certified eg ‘Certified Scubas Escape - Treasure of Syreni Diver’
What will the games involve?
Each of the games are completely different and have different aims and puzzles.
You will at no point be locked in a box under water or locked underwater.
There are no ‘overhead environments’ and there is a clear path at all times between you and the surface of the water.
How do I book?
